BSF Trooper among two booked under PSA In Kupwara | KNO

Kupwara, November 17 (KNO) : Two youth including a BSF Trooper from north Kashmir’s Kupwara District were slapped with Public safety act and shifted to koth bilwal jail in jammu on Saturday, police said. Reports reaching KNO that Shakir Ahmad Wani s/ o Mohammed Ramzan Wani and Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh s/o Abdul Ahad Sheikh, both residents of Tekipora, Lolab were Jailed with PSA. The duo were arrested on 4 October this year as over ground workers affiliated with the Hizbul Mujaheed who were providing logistic support to militants apart from luring more youth into militancy, a police official said. Earlier, Police on 4 October claimed to have busted an OGW module of Hizbul Mujahideen in Lolab area of Kupwara district claiming arrest of two local youth including a Border security forces (BSF) official along a pistol. “The two were involved in the activities which are detrimental to security of state and inspite been involved in breaking law of the land. They were arrested as OGW’s and have been slapped with the PSA,” A top official of Police Kupwara said. A case under FIR Number 77 of 2018 U/S 7/25 Arms act 13, 18, 39 unlawful activities act stands registered against the duo jailed under PSA, Officials said. On 22 september this year, Two youth from Lolab valley were booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and were shifted to Kot Balwal jail in the Jammu region. Reports reaching KNO that Firdous Ahmad Shah, son of Bashir Ahmad Shah and Adil Hussain son of Ghulam Mohammad, both residents of Shatmuqam Lolab were slapped with PSA and sent to Kot Balwal Jail.(KNO)
